Influencing someone is all about talking to them in a manner they respond to, then you are more likely to get the outcome that you desire.
Communication is something we all take for granted until we have a problem with another person and communication breaks down or we need to get someone to do something that they might not want to do or to change behaviours.
The first place to start is to think about how YOU communicate; are you quick thinking or do you prefer time to reflex when asked a question? Are you people or goal orientated?
There is no right or wrong way to communicate, we’re all individuals & communicate in our own way but having an understanding of how you naturally like to communicate will help you build rapport & strong relationships
Once you understand the way you communicate, it’s then important to understand how the people around you like to communicate.
Successful teams communicate well as they all understand each other’s ways of communicating, they also use language that everyone understands & is comfortable with.
